I am catching up with the posts. One of the highlights in this dive was a swimming crab I came across right after dropping down to the canyon. It was carrying a tuna crab and swimming in the water column.

Another interesting encounter is a blenny. I noticed some coatings on the outside of the hole with a golden color. But it was until on my computer I saw they were unhatched eggs. It was cool.

Here is the report from Jackie on this night dive.

Various critters were out and about tonight, but that awful layer of algae persists, keeping most away I think; Banded Guitarfish must be fond of it though, as I saw at least 3 different ones. A Sea Lion followed for a bit, a few tiny Octos were out, Navanax population is increasing, and the Cardinalfish look fat. A juvie Horn Shark provided some shelter to a baby Ocean Whitefish, and an Octo hung out with a Top Snail. A great dive.
