I ventured out this morning to the secret garden. It’s been a while since I came to the site. The condition was really nice at the shores. I had no problem to find the correct line-up and only after a few kicks I was right on top of it.
Right at the edge was red gorgonian, where I found a few simnia (Delonovolva aequalis). This is my first shot of this cool snail.

At the bottom of the gorgonian, there were a few squid egg sacks. So they had been here. I haven’t seen any squid egg sack at other locations so it might be just a small group.

I went deeper to check out the Doriopsilla spaldingi. There were a lot of them.

But this time, they were all scattered, some in pair, mating, and some just wandering in solo.

The time at the secret garden was always short. I slowly climbed up along the slope and headed to the main wall. At the north end of the wall, I saw a baby black dorid – one of my all time favorite.

What a cool creature.
The visibility near the main wall was not great. It looked dusty and the surge was strong. I took a few shots of this baby sea hare and headed to the shore.

It was great to have an adventure in the morning to start the day. A great dive.
