A Dive In A Rainy Night

It was until on my way driving to the shores I heard the news that the rain was approaching. The rain started to pour heavily when kicking out to the canyon. Had to wear the mask on the way, but the water was flat like a lake. The canyon was beautiful – great visibility, calm, and no krill tonight. Toured from the main wall to the V point. It was quiet at the beginning but more creatures showed up at the V point.

One highlight was another sighting of a Pusula solandri.

I spent quite sometime with this cool creature.

At the bottom of the wall, I spotted another one with a different tone.

Another Pusula solandri at the bottom of the wall.

I was so attracted to this guy and spent a big chunk of time with it.

From the bottom of the ledge, I glanced the plateau. Suddenly I saw a yellow dorid. My heat started pounding.

There’s something fun about gearing up just as the rain starts – and zipping the suit just in time.
Weiwei and I marched into Neptune’s domain in pouring rain, and had to wear our masks for the kick out as it was like getting hit with bee bees. It was a cool sight with all the rain drops on flat calm seas.
Nice leisurely dive, except for the water that started to invade my drysuit as we dropped. I endured. Highlight critter was the nice large male Horn Shark on the slope. Comedic critter was the Heart Urchin that was on the move – it crawled up to a hole, and promptly fell in, right on top of a sleeping Ocean Whitefish. Fish not happy, Urchin smooshed itself further into the hole out of sight. Shallows still has some detritus floating around and lots of sand ripples. A great dive.
