The air temperature dropped today and it was cold. The wind also picked up last time. But this does not really affect the diving. We had a full boat and headed out to sites called ‘Arthur’s Rock’ and ‘Koala’. This is a site with beautiful coral reefs and mostly for wide-angle. Here are a few highlights of the reefs.

One interesting encounter was a frogfish with grey color. Carlo spotted it and waved to me.

It was a big one, sitting on a rock. It started to swim after we got too close.

After two dives we headed back to the dive center. In the afternoon, I was able to join BJ and his cousin to dive the boulders right outside of the center. It was a nice change to macro and I was excited to look for tiny critters.
One cool encounter was the tiny shrimps living on the coral. I initially saw one. But with a closer look, I found more and more.

Here is another cool sighting – a juvenile ghost pipefish. I couldn’t believe my eyes when it flew by right in front of my eyes. Tiny and constantly moving, it was challenging for a close-up shot. I am glad a few picture coming out okay.

Thanks for BJ I was able to see this cool whip coral shrimp (Pontonides ankeri).

Here are a few other encounters.

What a cool day of diving.
