Point Loma Dives

Made the first trip of September, with Steve to Point Loma. Here is the report from Steve.

Despite the weather girls warnings about incoming effects from Hurricane Lidia , with rain, wind and even hazardous boating conditions , Weiwei G , Jim R and Elbe B all join me to thumb our noses at Lidia’s threatened chaos .
We all realized we might get to the mouth of the channel and get turned around by conditions.
We turned the corner into a light wind chop, but nothing to turn back about.
We made it to Gayle’s spot and Weiwei did another perfect anchor toss.

We dropped down into warm water (54º at depth) and 25-30 ft vis.

For dive #2 we headed over to Christmas reef and ended up with a chilly thermocline at 40 ft , decent vis on the south end of the site, but only 15, ft on the north end .
