Today was my first day diving in West Palm Beach. The dive started in the afternoon with two dives to the reefs: Flower Gardens and Breaker’s Reef. The trip reminded me the dives at the same sites many years ago. I found an article online written by Laz – I don’t think I can come up with better words to describe these two amazing dive sites.

After the dive, I went to Phil Foster Park to check out Blue Heron Bridge. Around the dive shop, I came across a group of divers uploading the gears and heading to the wreck Ana Cecilia. I knew the groupers were there. The captain was kind and allowed me to tag along. This became my first wreck dive in Palm Beach.
Not knowing what to expect, I drifted along with other divers to the wreck. I was “surprised” at the ripping current on the bow. Not knowing to hide behind the wreck, I started fighting against the current and was trying to stay with the groupers at the front

I kicked super hard, then crawled on the sand, and finally grabbed the chain. Looking back, all was so silly. But it was such ignorance that allowed me a chance to stay with the fish facing the current. It was a moment that I felt I was with them side by side.
