Finally the ocean calmed down and the surface turned flat. I kicked out to the canyon in the morning light. It was beautiful. I dropped down in about 25 ft water onto the sandy flat. It was murky and surgy, but the visibility opened up at the canyon. I started from the south wall toward the V point. As I slowly cruised to the north, the water turned even more clear. Overall it was quiet. There were quite a few octopuses on the V point. The kelp stayed with two squid eggs on it. I came across big bait balls both in the canyon and the shallow.
Below was a short video from the dive. The water was 54F at the canyon and 56F in the shallow, actually warm than the air. A great dive.
