My weekend lazy dive to the north wall. I was surprised to see the rain in the morning. Luckily it turned into light drizzles when I got to the shores. Walked into the water at the sunrise. The ocean was flat and the shallow water was clear. Dropped down at the beginning of the wall. The water was warm 57 F at the wall. The visibility was about 20 ft pretty nice. Saw usual critters: lots of lobsters in the crevices, sheephead family, school of blacksmith, and a small school of jack passing by. It was pretty quiet for a long time. Halfway through the dive, right after I turned, a big bat ray showed up foraging on the top of the wall. It attracted lots of fish. As I approached it took off and glided along the canyon for a while. It was a cool encounter. The sandy slope had better visibility than the canyon at about 25 ft. Especially in the shallow it was clear with a bluish hue. The water was warm in the mid 60s. A nice dive.
