Scripps Canyon is a beautiful dive site – going there is a privilege.  With the permission from UCSD, the vehicles can drive down the canyon all the way to the beach. It is a small nice area that keeps the original California canyon view with the absence of invasive species. Once we got to the beach, the view was opened up and the whole ocean was right in front. The canyon is right one the back – creating a piece of land with tranquility.

The depth here was deepish – the wall dropped easily below 90 ft. But it was beautiful – all kinds of colors showed up with a great number of creature. Some of them looked very exotic. It was also a land of nudies – with all different colors, shapes and sizes. It was a pity that time we could stay was short.

p.s. The condition was very tough today – very large surf. Calli and I were caught by a rip current and we were rescued by the lifeguards.
