A Night Dive at the Shores

It’s Friday! Headed out to the shores for a night dive. The wave was bigger than I expected and the surface was choppy. I thought the full moon was approaching, so decided again to go to the grassy patch. The visibility was not bad at all at a deeper depth. The highlight of the dive was my first sighting of Santa Barbara Janolus. This little guy was so cute and its color patter was amazing. However, taking pictures was difficult because it was so small, and they crawled onto really thin grass branches, which were constantly swinging.

I was kind of maxed out with Dirona picta – they were everywhere. But this sea hare was really cute.

With so many nudibranchs hanging around, it was not a surprise to see a few navanax. But they were big and the color was really bright and glowing. I liked this shot very much.
