Now, they gathered in big groups, spread out on both sides of the blades, and stacked layer-by-layer following the stem of the kelp all the way up to the top. The open and close of their hoods seemed to be carefully choreographed and together they were orchestrated by the gentle swing of the kelp. Slowly, I started circling the kelp, noise of my breathing becoming music, as if I was watching a show in a theater.

Soon I realized that swimming to the V-point had become unrealistic. I had to rush back to the shallow before the air became dangerously low.

Back to the shores, the park was filled with the big crowds, joyful noises, and the smell of the barbecue. The delight of the holiday was up in the air. The underwater wildness seemed surreal. This is exactly why I love the shores: using its magic, it never fails to surprise me.
