Headed out to the shores in the early morning to catch the premier condition. The water has stayed warm and clear. Kicked out to the main wall and dropped down in front of the draw.
I was heading north and the canyon wall was super quiet. Not many interesting creatures except this juvenile sheephead. It was not too shy and posed for my camera.
Then all of a sudden, a bait ball appeared. The fish circled me and I followed them heading north.
I was so excited playing and didn’t even notice passing of the V point. When the fish disappeared, I found myself at the crap patch. Again I looked around for the sea horse but couldn’t see any sign of its presence. In the grass there were a few baby sea hare – the sign of the spring. And there was this octopus.
In the grass, I also spotted this California Armina on a sea pen.
