It was so small that my camera didn’t focus well, but still got few shots.

This does help bolster my theory that stubby squid are pretty common here, just not common at dive depths. I believe they stay where the water is at or below 50F. So in years when the cold water comes up enough we see them. In other years they are too deep, but I think they are always at the shores and Marine Room areas.
