Shark Diving – Day 3

Into the third day of my shark diving adventure. I was hoping the condition was as good as yesterday, but in fact the visibility dropped significantly. I dropped down at buoy A and swam out from there. Only a few minutes into the dive, a large sevengill swam by right next to me from behind. It went by fast, as if in a mission at somewhere else. I only got a shot from behind.

It turned out that this was the only sevengill shark I saw today. They never showed up during my dive. Instead, I got chance to see quite a few taupe sharks. These sharks were super skittish. When they got close, I had to hold myself still and hold my breath. They got closer and closer, and suddenly noticed my presence and then bolted away. They were beautiful creatures.

Although I didn’t see many sharks in this dive, I was amazed at how pretty the cove was. Near the beach, the waves stirred up a lot of sediments and the fish gathered. Just put your face into water you would see tons of fish. It was quite a scene.

Hopefully there will be more sharks in the next dive.
