Macro Shooting at the Shores

Headed out to the shores. Although the surf forecast predicted < 2 ft waves, the surface was pretty choppy with lots of movement. The tide was getting higher when I got out. My intention was to drop off, get to the south wall but swim north. But when the engine block suddenly appeared, I realized my swim to the canyon was way off course. This section of the wall seems to have lower viz. I bet the south of the V point would be better.

I haven’t been in the region for a while, and somehow quite a few miniature critters presented themselves to be photo taken. The first one was this hermit crab, perfect for testing my camera.

Not far from where I saw the hermit crab, I noticed a blue-ring topsnail. It was right on the tip of a rock, standing high. I saw many pictures of this kind snail before, but never got a chance to take pictures. This one is perfect.

I continued south and came across this blenny. It was fun, not shy from the camera, and very playful.
