A Night Dive Before the Storm

The storm is approaching and I headed to the shores to catch one more dive before the rain. I dropped around the main wall but the current brought me a bit south. So I checked the section where the Cuthona divae normally hang out. I indeed found a pair busy with laying eggs. Their egg mass was all over the place. Somehow they didn’t look as graceful and the one I came across a few days back.

The other encounters of the dive were not uncommon. I swam all the way to the V point and took one more look at the nudi kelp. There was one Corambe pacifica left on the stem but I didn’t bother taking more pictures. On the ledge, there was this tiny Price’s Aeolid (Flabellina pricei), which gave a fantastic shot.
