I am so behind the dive report so I just copied what Jackie wrote about this dive

La Jolla Shores
Time: dusk / night
Temp: 57 degrees
Viz: salad 4’ shallows, salad 5’ – 12’ canyon

Should have brought some dressing as Neptune was tossing the salad all over the place tonight…
Kicked out with Weiwei and Peter McG. on nice flat surface conditions for a same ocean dive, and dropped near the buoy.
We were met with lovely shades of brown/green – green/green viz, with detritus clumps on the bottom and floating in the water column. The temperature was also in a state of flux at all depths.
Seemed like the usual assortment of critters were out, from what I could see, barely. The viz did improve a bit near VP, then deteriorated again north. Tons of juvie Rockfish, a few Cusk Eels, and the Cardinalfish were checking out the eel grass that was gathering.
The Tunicates continue their invasion, and the VP Seahorse is still there. I found a nice big (Red?) Rock Crab nestled at VP, and many Cowries. I ended up making my way all the way to the Engine Block, which I almost missed due to not being able to see. On the way, a large Horn Shark made its presence known, and there is a plateau area just full of baby Piddocks, I wonder what they like about that spot.
Back in the shallows, most of the Sanddollars are in clumps, with lots of racing tracks. They are up to shenanigans. Lots of Swimming Crabs with eggs, and 1 Box Jelly pulsing along.
