Christmas Eve Day Diving

Headed out to the shores in the morning for a Christmas Eve Day diving with Tiffany and David. The day was beautiful – warm weather, blue sky and magnificent ocean. While people were enjoying a relaxing Christmas Eve day walking on the beach, a dolphin run started. A group of dolphins were chasing a bait ball and they swam really fast along the shores and even breached out of water.

We headed to the south. The condition was great – good visibility and mild surge. Here are a few highlights of the dive.

  • A big two-spot octopus was out. As soon as I approached, he ran back into the crevice. This was the first time I saw a two-spot wandering out.
  • Lots of sea lemons. I wish all the nudibrachs are as easy to find as they are.
  • A baby white sea urchin – they have lots of tentacles and are attached to grass.
  • A few navanax – you know they are around as you see their beautifully woven eggs.
