Did a night dive at the shores and once again went to the north of the canyon around the old crap patch. I dropped down to the bottom at 30 ft right next to a big angel shark. It had a similar size to the one I saw a few days back and I wonder if they were the same one.

Hit the canyon slop and found the thermocline at about 65 ft. I stayed above it for warmer temperature and more bottom time. On the slope there were so many critters and so much to see. Found a few baby purple globe crabs. One sea star was magic: it buried itself into the sand seemingly without much movement and just disappeared right in front of my eyes. Nudibranchs seemed to come back: spotted triopha, black dorid, and Hermissenda opalescens. There were also quite a few sand sea bass resting on the bottom.
I was hoping to get to the V point but it turned out that I was not even close. Had to turn back to the shore without even seeing the canyon wall.
It was a great dive!
