Felimare californiensis at Mission Bay

I dove Mission Bay this morning. The park was nice and quiet. Once in the water, I was quite happy to see the clear water. But once I got to the jetty, I saw there was a algae outbreak. All the boulders were covered with thick yellow algae and big chunks were floating in the water column. It was very disappointing. While I was thinking to abort the dive, a Felimare californiensis showed up. This is the nudibranch I heard in the bay a few years back but only saw it now. I stayed with it for the whole dive. What a beauty!
