Somehow today the idea of seeing recent SS grouper at the shores got into my mind. I am not a ‘fish person’ but got inspired by Jackie ‘s video. I grabbed another tank after Point Loma and headed to the shores.

At the sandy flat, I came across a goat fish so that was cool.
At site, for the first 30 min I didn’t see any sign of a dark pearled fish and left to the V point. Before I completely gave up, I wanted to give it another try so I turned back. But it was deep in the den. I had to turn off the light and sat on the canyon watching all the luminescent creatures swimming. Other highlight of the dive is a big octopus capturing a crab, and a large diamond ray gliding the canyon while I was trying to make friend with the SS grouper. There were lots of cardinalfish.
