Since the start of the new year, I have been battling with a stomach flu, and finally feel good enough to go diving. Mike and I were planning to dive the out jetty at Mission Bay. It was sunrise and the bay was gorgeous.
Near the out jetty, this lifeguard building caught my attention. Its look was very historical.
The waves broke at the out jetty. After evaluating the condition, we switched to the Mission Point. This will be my first dive in the new year.
The condition at the Mission Point was perfect. Shortly after we dropped off, we were greeted by two beautiful San Diego dorids. A few moments later, we came across the big black sea hare. I was determined to get a good picture of the sea hare this time. I tried different angels to minimize the particles. But I soon realized this was the most difficult subject. The pitch black color contrasts the particles in the water and makes it 100 times worse. In addition, you could barely see any features of the creature, other than a big black blob!
