Today is the last day of the official new year holiday. I headed to the shores and decided to do two dives. Headed directly to the engine block for the ss grouper. I had spent quite some time with this cute fish last night. Today the condition became more surgy and there were lots of particulates in the water. I snapped a few quick shots and headed south.

Along the way, came across this kelp fish hidden behind the algae. Very cool color.
Finally I also got a nice shot of a zebra goby. Very pretty.

Another cool encounter was a Hedgpeth’s Dorid (Polycera hedgpethi). I got a nice close-up shot.

Most of my first dive was spent with two Mantis shrimps I found near the V point. This shrimp was extremely skittish and they blend with the background so well that I could hardly see them when they were out.

I knew they were out because I saw them sprint back to the hole just in a blink of eye. I waited pretty long before getting a few shots.

A little bit further down south, I came across a few fish larva, which gathered and traveled together. They were semi-transparent.

I saw them here and there at night but rare saw them in a group during the day. It’s hard to take pictures. Here are a few shots.
In one of the crevices along the wall, there were lots of cardinal fish inside. Very cool.

Then I found the pipe – all broken, lying on the ground with one end somehow still attached to the wall. On it, I saw a black dorid.
As this was my second dive, my bottom time was limited. From there I headed back to the shore. A great morning spent at the beautiful shores.
