The condition at the shores was great. Had a wonderful dive.

Most of the dive was spent with this little crab decorated with white algae. Video and story will follow. Here I just copied Jackie’s report.

Although Weiwei and I dropped a bit south, we ended up waaay north past Crap Patch.
The topography has changed a bit so it took a moment to realize where we were…
Heading south we came across Crab-fest a-palooza…Sheepcrabs, Red Crabs, Yellow Crabs all over the place. Peacefully foraging or nestled in, with 2 Sheepcrabs crabs fighting for territory.
I found a Baby Ocean Whitefish taking shelter next to a baby Horn Shark, and the Lions at VP saw me coming, well, the lights at least, which they hate, and scurried to hide under the kelp blade. (I usually keep my lights low to not blind critters). I don’t remember seeing them move so fast. A nice banded Guitarfish was laying on the slope and lots of Vermillions are out all over the place. Also, a very solid white Hemphills Crab…either albino or mimicking the Begiotta algae…
The shallows was clear but uneventful. A great dive.
