This morning Tiffany joined me and we headed out to Mission Point for a morning dive, hoping to see more nudibranchs. It was sunrise when we got to the Mission Point and the bay was beautiful. The park was very quiet with a few people doing morning exercise. We geared up quickly and swam toward the boulders.

The condition was fairly nice – good visibility with mild current. We followed the boulder and cruised toward the jetty. The highlight of the dive is the San Diego dorid. During our dive, we spotted quite a few of them and to my surprise they were big in size. This gave me a chance to take a close look at them.

Following the boulder, we spotted a Cockerell’s Dorid (Laila cockerelli). It is interesting that it takes a while to find the first one, but once after that they keep on showing up.
