The purpose of today’s dive was mainly for a safe event – a simulation of a dive emergency. This was also my first time to board Horizon. Indeed, there was a small “accident” in the morning – I left my camera at home and didn’t realized it until almost the boarding time. I drove home, took the camera and got back on boat just in time. But it was a nerve racking experience.
I came across a fishing boat just coming back from a 18-day trip. It was my first time to see the unloading a full load of fish. It was really cool. Point Loma in a overcast morning was pretty. Here are a set of pictures.
The dive site we got to was Dino Head. I went before and it was a beautiful site. The condition overall was pretty good. The sea was calm and there was not much current. The visibility was good but was super. As usual I saw a lot of nudibranchs. Here are a few pictures of Hermissenda crassicornis.
And here are a few pictures of the Porter’s Chromodorid.
A few pictures of Yellow Spotted Cadlina. I also saw them last week at the Scripps Canyon and could not get any good shots of them.
