Two incredible dives at Point Loma. The water was so clear that I could see the boat from the bottom at 75 ft. The usual emerald green of our water turned into a hue of sapphire blue. Best way to say goodbye to 2017. Big thanks to Cpt. Murvine.

Tiffany P , Shaun H and Weiwei joined me for a New Years eve dive trip out to Point Loma.
We headed out to the main channel with the hopes of yesterdays vis .
When Shaun dropped the anchor we watched it go nearly to the bottom at 95 ft !
We geared up and dropped down into Caribbean blue water .
I could see the anchor from around 20 ft !

We got to the bottom and I could see Weiwei’s yellow pony bottle across the channel , which is around 100 ft across ..
My estimate of vis was around the 50 ft mark again today .

On dive #1 Weiwei had found a spot with a nesting lingcod so we decided to do the 2nd dive there and go say hi to him.
