Point Loma Reefs

Finally got a chance to head out to Point Loma with Steve. It was a great dive. Here is the report from Steve.

Shaun H and Weiwei joined me for a couple dives off the south cliffs in Point Loma today.
We had May Gray on the way out, but nice 1 ft seas .
I haven’t been on the south end for a while and wanted to check on how things are there.
We dropped anchor at 3 hole crack, just south of Train Wheels.
There is still some kelp there which is good, but thin.
We descended into the canyon which starts at about 50 ft and drops to almost 100.
Vis was around 15 and temps were very cold.
Shauns watch read 47º and mine read 48º !

I had fun with a sea lion!

I guess I will have look elsewhere tomorrow.
After 2 dives, a surface interval snack and some good conversations, we headed back on the still 1-2 ft seas .
The surface temp was only 60º and air temp was 63 so we were chilly on and under the H2O today.
I hope we get some sun.
